The Role
As Head of Tax, you will take overall ownership of all UK tax matters, managing compliance, risk, and long-term strategy.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the UK tax function, covering corporation tax, VAT, and employment tax
- Reviewing and submitting corporate and partnership tax returns
- Overseeing tax compliance, planning, and audits
- Managing relationships with HMRC and external advisers
- Providing regular updates and strategic tax advice to senior leadership
- Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Direct management of tax staff with scope to grow the team further
Package:
- £85,000 to £110,000 Base (DOE)
- Company Car Allowance £7,800

About You
- ACA, ACCA, CTA, or ATT qualified
- Technical expertise across UK tax legislation
- Experience of the Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) regime
- Proven record in audits, compliance, and complex tax planning
- Hands-on approach with the ability to manage and mentor a team
- Confident influencing senior stakeholders and shaping tax strategy
