FP&A Modelling Analyst
£55,000–£60,000 + 7.5% Bonus + Competitive Benefits

I am partnering with a highly respected, private equity-backed financial services organisation to recruit an FP&A Modelling Analyst. This is a newly shaped role within a restructured FP&A function, created to provide greater depth, control and insight across budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial modelling.
The business is going through a period of investment, change and increased focus on performance and value creation. As a result, the FP&A team is looking for someone who can take ownership of the modelling and analytical layer that supports planning, reporting, business partnering, and senior decision-making. This is an FP&A-led modelling role, with some crossover into commercial analysis and ad hoc project work.

About the job:
- Build, enhance and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis and pricing
- Review existing Excel models and identify opportunities to simplify, improve, and standardise them.
- Owns monthly, quarterly, annual forecast submission and planning assumptions across the Group including reporting and forecasting cycles
- Prepare high-quality reporting packs, dashboards and forecasting outputs
- Translate model outputs into clear insight, highlighting risks, opportunities and recommended actions
- Conduct variance analysis, sensitivity analysis, and scenario testing.
- Support FP&A deep dives across budget, forecast, cost, revenue and performance
- Evaluate the financial impact of business proposals and support data-driven recommendations
- Support ad hoc modelling requests, including profitability, pricing, cost allocation and scenario-based projects
- Help improve reporting processes, data quality, model governance, and FP&A efficiency.
About you
- Experience in FP&A, financial modelling, commercial finance, or business analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with complex, multi-sheet models
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis
- Ability to improve, simplify and automate existing models and reports
- Experience creating dashboards, visualisations, or reporting packs.
