Finance Team Leader

I am exclusively working in partnership with my client to recruit an experienced Finance Team Leader for an initial six-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful, people-focused organisation and take responsibility for supporting and overseeing a small transactional team. The role will suit someone who enjoys leading a small team, improving processes and ensuring supplier payments and month-end activities are completed accurately and on time.

About the role:

• Oversee the workload of a small team of Finance Administrators, ensuring all processes are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Support, coach and guide the team with day-to-day queries and priorities.
• Resolve escalated supplier and internal queries.
• Work collaboratively with suppliers, finance colleagues and wider internal teams.
• Prepare supplier payment runs and process electronic BACS payments.
• Complete monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
• Prepare and present reports and KPIs to the leadership team.
• Identify and contribute to process and system improvements.
• Ensure accurate financial records and supporting documentation are maintained.

About you:

• Previous supervisory, team leadership is essential
• Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines within a busy environment.
• Confident resolving complex or escalated queries.
• Experience working within a large, international or group organisation would be advantageous.

Salary and benefits:

• Salary of £40,000 £42,000
• Initial six-month fixed-term contract.
• Hybrid working, with Monday and Friday home based and Tuesday to Thursday office based in Chippenham.
• 26 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata).
