The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accounts Receivable Team Leader to join the finance function. This is a fantastic role for an experienced AR or credit control professional who is ready to take the next step into leadership within a supportive and growing finance team. You’ll support the AR Team Leader in the day-to-day running of the department, coordinate workloads, and act as deputy when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the AR Team Leader with daily operations
  • Oversee team workload, ensuring accurate and timely processes
  • Resolve escalated queries and collaborate with clients and internal teams
  • Monitor aged debt and drive proactive follow-up to reduce overdue balances
  • Generate invoices and ensure on-time delivery
  • Reconcile receipts and credit notes with the Cashier
  • Assist in training, onboarding, and mentoring new team members
  • Contribute to process and system improvements
  • Prepare and present AR reports and KPIs for leadership

About You:

  • 3+ years’ experience in accounts receivable or credit control
  • Skilled in billing, collections, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Previous supervisory or team coordination experience (formal or informal)
  • Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, formulas)
  • Confident communicator with strong problem-solving and organisational skills
