Assistant Accountant
Six Month Fixed Term Contract
£40,000 + Benefits

I am exclusively working in partnership with my client to recruit an Interim Assistant Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can contribute from day one within a successful organisation while broadening their finance experience during a significant period of change. The role will involve a combination of finance administration, reconciliations and management accounts support.
About the role:
- Assist with the monthly management accounts close.
- Post journal transactions accurately.
- Review nominal ledger accounts and complete balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring transactions are accurate and complete.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Investigate discrepancies and liaise with wider teams to resolve outstanding issues.
- Support the monthly VAT return process and associated reconciliations.
- Undertake other finance duties as required.
About you:
- Previous experience within a finance or management accounts team.
- Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to work accurately, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience within a large, international or group organisation would be advantageous.
Salary and benefits
- Salary of £40,000.
- Initial six-month fixed-term contract.
- Hybrid working, with Monday and Friday home based and Tuesday to Thursday office based.
- 26 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Free onsite yoga sessions every two weeks.
